Position Summary
This position is responsible for sourcing & procurement of Apparel/Non Apparel raw materials, trims, & finished goods. The role will have responsibility for ensuring in-stock of blanks and finished goods for product placement in many accounts and thousands of SKUs/Points of Demand across the spectrum of retail channels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage domestic & offshore sourcing and procurement with strong focus on apparel
- Purchasing & inventory management of production materials through utilization of ERP & MRP systems.
- Collaboration with the Demand Planning team on all matters involving inventory management
- Ensure the timely delivery of parts from external vendors through Purchase Order creation and follow through
- Direct communication with vendors and ownership of relationships
- KPI reporting to leadership team
Qualifications/Experience
- Sourcing & Procurement of Apparel blanks & assorted categories of finished goods
- Experience in buying/coordinating both domestic & offshore sourced product
- Working knowledge of Apparel Textile Construction, Embellishments, & Development
- Strong analytical skills and technically advanced in Windows based systems (Excel, Word, PPT), & ERP/MRP applications
- Direct work with apparel mills, factories, & distributors, executing complex plans for procurement
- Experience in Apparel production planning, scheduling, & fulfillment of raw good needs
- Purchase Order creation and entry
