The Athletics Director of Marketing will support the marketing office in their efforts to generate revenue by enhancing the fan experience in effective and creative ways while advancing the Carolina Athletics brand. The Director of Marketing will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans for women’s basketball, women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse aimed at generating revenue via ticket, concessions and merchandise sales as well as increasing attendance at home contests. The Director of Marketing will work directly with coaches, sport administrators and student-athletes on a regular basis before and during their respective season. Director will also manage the marketing department’s business intelligence/email campaign strategies. Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to: supervising the marketing office student volunteer program: and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) plus years’ experience in an NCAA Division I sports marketing environment. Knowledge of NCAA marketing rules and regulations. Experience marketing and promoting athletic team events. Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior administrators, head coaches, student athletes, and co-workers to meet set goals and objectives. Master’s degree preferred.
